Anyone else notice that the bows are backwards?
be a slave simple
Anyone think adultery in modern society wouldn't be quite as big a problem if punishments stayed severe (obviously far more humane than in previous centuries)?
The adultery one looks a lot like Ancient Egyptian art
“People over 70 could drink as much as they wanted”
Gee I wonder the dynamic of people who agreed on that rule looked like
I guess the Aztecs didnt believe in child abuse
tbh these all sound like reasonable punishments hahaaa compared to todays society where justice doesnt make sense anymore. each of these scenarios im like “i mean thats understandable punishment”
it was nothing insane.
Murderers well they get the same punishment in return…. being drunk should not be accepted socially so to shame them and threaten with demolishing their home is a nice social rule.
Turned you bald and homeless for too many bruskis is bananas
𝚆𝚎𝚕𝚕 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚙𝚙𝚢
So it’s not bad thought that they knew alot better than today what is „not to do”…
Why is there a punishment for prisoners of war. In their culture you are expected to bring back prisoners and it is considered weak to kill someone on the battlefield. It’s better to die as a Sacrifice then on the battlefield
I think we should bring back the last one
Who wants Pozole?
The Pozole back then: 🥩🫀🍲🧍🏾♂️
If you lived to 70 back then you deserved to be shit faced 24/7
The aztecs really prioritized societal harmony. These punishments (besides pow war crimes..) reflects that they wanted order in their society. They also had a mandatory military training for all males similar to the Spartans' Agoge. Quite fascinating culture. It wouldnhave great to see their civilization mature without outside intervention as it did.
The Aztecs did not play
No alcoholics allowed over there ig lmao
Como mexicana, gracias por el video 🙃 no sabía eso xd
You need to do this same for the Inquisition
Stop spreading misinformation
All this Capppp 😂😂
Bro What fuck wrong with people's
Aztec empire:I don’t drink alcohol until I’m 70+
Muslims:I don’t drink alcohol till I die
The stealing part should be implemented into today’s system
This sounds like propaganda
Cause you were there and you know this? You traveled and deciphered ancient text? Okay google wizard, youre not an educator or a teacher
I LIKE IT!
De nada por daros a Cristo Rey ✝️✝️✝️
i’ve always thought having a drinking age of 21 shouldn’t stop there. as one gets older more and more freedoms should be bestowed. something to keep living for 😁 or maybe the state might hope overindulgence might lead to death and not cost society anything. even if they’re paying.. they’re not in the workforce so may as well pass it on 😛
What is this song please?
If 4 was possible today it wouldn't be very different from 200 years ago
how the 6th punishment goes:
the executioner:WHY YOU LITTLE-
the person who does it:AAAAAAAAA
The adultery one should come back
The theft is actually kinda smart. I mean prob not for the rest of their life but yk they wernt exactly lenient
Damn they really didn't mess w adulery
The soundtrack is fire
Sorry for looking into ur eyes without without permission please I
Thank God for the europeans
Mexicans still do this til this day.
I don’t believe this one bit, there is not much history on the Aztec people. This is just click bait
What if you stole from 2 people
Last one is very reasonable tho
The cartels are just modern-day Aztecs
